Harrison, Arkansas Restaurant & Gathering Place

John Paul's Restaurant inside the 1929 Hotel Seville

The hotel's Private Club has been re-developed into Harrison's ONLY wet restaurant in this Dry County. As a trendy yet historic restaurant/bar concept with GREAT Food and REGULAR ENTERTAINMENT, John Paul's Restaurant & Gathering Place is reminiscent of the great political gathering places such as The Palm or Capital Bar & Grill.

Portobello Mushroom Burger

Named after local political legend, John Paul Hammershmidt the restaurant is designed in a predominantly historical theme, has big screen televisions for all Razorback events and is built on a "local pride" concept.

The menu is casual all day and features several fine dinner entrees after five. Tap beers, burgers, appetizers and specialty drinks served by employees in sharply dressed and appropriate uniforms compliment the atmosphere.

Seville Sampler - fried appetizer platter

We have an active lunch crowd, hotel patrons mix with our after work diners and a regular bar crowd creates a fun environment. We extend outdoor seating however, we are VERY sensitive to the private club rules. The bar is active with regular entertainment and always on the weekends. We have quickly become known as a place to be seen, talk sports or politics yet not to a level whereas it might impose on overnight guests.

Our Murals

John Paul's walls feature three large and significant murals by renowned artist Larry Mansker. Mansker's murals depict prominent events of the region primarily furthered by the namesake John Paul Hammerschmidt. Although John Paul is most prevalent other icons from Harrison include Razorback Brandon Burlsworth, Trucking magnate Sheridan Garrison and Medal of Honor winner Jack Williams.
